Dating can be fun when you are single and carefree – or just single. It is a special time to get to know someone and enjoy some relaxing time (although most of us have at least one story of a date that was not so relaxing). After marriage, dating is more important than before marriage. How that is possible? After all, wouldn't dating be more important when you are trying to get to know if someone is right for you to marry? It is important to get to know someone deeply and study his or her character, responses to situations, and personality before determining if you and he/she are a good … [Read more...]
Are you Overcomplicating your Relationship?
Our golden retriever, Ramsey, has entered a phase where she stops and decides if she's going to obey me or not. She obeys Eric automatically {Eric’s note: most of the time, not always}, but it feels like I have the word ‘pushover’ stamped on my forehead. This past week, she was playing outside when she spotted a little boy from down the street riding on his scooter. When the little boy stopped to play with another dog, her insides looked like they were going to come wiggling out. The temptation to run across the street and play was so great! Falling Further in Love (Marriage Proposal)

It is no secret to those who know me that I am more alert at night than in the … [Read more...]
Reacting to Disappointment
If some days you're the windshield and some days you're the bug, then I've been the bug for five days. Having a sore throat, congestion, an annoying cough, ear pain and absolutely no energy, I am starting to feel helpless and worthless in my own skin. (This is also why last week's entries were sparse on our blog - sorry about that!) Yesterday, I emptied the dishwasher and washed a load of towels (which are still in the dryer waiting to be folded) and those were my only big accomplishments. So far this week, I have had to cancel lunch with a friend, movie night with another friend, coffee … [Read more...]
