My husband has been a busy bee lately! Several weeks ago he started working with a number of people to help them find their calling. While he did that, it was a few hours alone at home to get some chores done for me; but, for those he was counseling, it was a much more exciting time. Eric would come home grinning from ear to ear; and, though he wouldn't tell me personal information about the clients (we take client confidentiality seriously!), he excitedly told me of how they all reacted when they got to the root of their callings. Some of Eric's clients asked him what my calling was, but … [Read more...]
Why it is Important to Find your Calling and Passion Before Saying I Do?
“What did you want to be when you were a little boy/girl? Now, what was the first thing you thought of?” These are two of Eric's favorite questions to ask when he encounters people who are trying to determine their passion or calling in life. God made all of us with a specific purpose. None of us were put on Earth simply to float through life and anchor down our couches. I saw the below National Geographic video recently of a picture of a whale approaching a man and was amazed at the enormity of the size differences. This helps put this story into more perspective. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0_h3AAn7Pk However, the … [Read more...]
