Are you in a gift-giving rut? Sometimes I live there! I search Amazon for hours and have nothing to show for it. Those nights are long and intensely frustrating. Occasionally, inspiration strikes and I think of something fantastic. Sadly, those moments are rare! It pays to listen and jot down ideas throughout the year. If she has been admiring a certain kitchen utensil, get it! Even if it does not seem like much of a gift, she obviously wants it! Notice which way he meanders when he walks into a store. Could his whereabouts give you a clue for a terrific gift? If you are determined to think … [Read more...]
Christmas Fun: Christmas Treasure Hunting!
Another festive weekend is here! How will you spend it? Why not get some friends together and have a Christmas Treasure Hunt? Personally, I am not a pro at treasure hunts and scavenger hunts, but Eric raves about them. Other than enjoying a strategy game marathon, I cannot think of anything Eric would rather do than go on an exciting treasure hunt. When he was still living in California, Eric went on a few treasure hunts with his church youth group; and, one time, one of his team’s audio objectives was to record someone (legitimately) sneezing. They tried everything to cause a sneeze, and … [Read more...]
Everyone Loves Talking About Themselves (Giving the Gift of Listening)

Blessings from Us to You! (December) – Free PAIR Test Administration and Sessions!
Am I the only one amazed that it is almost Christmas?! Each December, I find myself in awe of how quickly the current year has flown. As an avid fan of the Back to the Future Trilogy, I used to think 2015 would never get here! Not only did it come, but it is already gone... and 2016 is almost behind us as well. Some days, I wake up and wonder if the last decade was just a dream. Am I still in my twenties? Have I honestly been married more than eleven years? Where did all that time go? It seems like each passing year moves a little faster than the previous one. Kindergarten felt like the … [Read more...]
Christmas Fun: Christmas Baking!
December is my favorite blogging month because I get to talk about Christmas however much I want! Just like children, we adults need to have plenty of fun during the holidays; and what better way to do that than to plan fun activities? When we are children, we are at the mercy of our caretakers. “Mom, please take us to see Santa!” “Dad, please go sledding with us!” “Grandma, please can I go out and play with my friends?!” But, as adults, if we do not plan fun, then work, responsibilities, or sheer laziness will take over and the Christmas season will pass in a flash! Shopping, cooking, … [Read more...]
