Whether you're for or against interracial relationships, most people have a definite opinion on the topic. Some people are influenced by the values and mores of their families of origin; whereas, others have been influenced by the media's increasing propensity for interracial inclusion. So, what do you think? (please comment below!) Three students at UNC Chapel Hill put together an interesting "ethnography on interracial relationships by UNC Chapel Hill students": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAlk52_tJr8 After listening to opinion, it's good to ask, "Does the Bible have anything to … [Read more...]
Dating God (Tim Challies)
When's the last time you went on a date? What was the point? Was the point to just learn as much as you can about the other person? Was the point to have fun? Blessings (Laura Story)
My wife loves to sing and has recently been singing a song she heard from the radio, noticeably more than other songs: Blessings by Laura Story. In those times of grief, it can be especially hard to thank the Lord for blessings that … [Read more...]
Playing Frisbee in the Rain (Variety in Dating Activities)
I came home today from work and it was raining. I asked Heather if she took our dog out and exercised her before it started raining - she replied in the negative. After a few minutes, it looked like the weather was clearing up as it was just sprinkling. So, I took Ramsey (our golden retriever, pictured to the left) and her Zogoflex Zisc (frisbee) and started throwing it for her. During the course of our play, the rain … [Read more...]

I remember being young and shy. I remember not knowing what to say to the girls who made my heart flutter. I remember the nervousness I had when talking to them or calling them on the phone. So, at that time, was I ready for a dating relationship? No, I wasn't. Why is that...? Women who I've talked to in discussing what they are looking for in a mate said that they wanted a strong man, a man of integrity, a man who has a sense of purpose and direction, someone who wants to provide for his wife, is willing to work hard, and a man who will fight for what is right. Women, am I right? (comment … [Read more...]
