Every Thursday, we have heart-warming marriage proposals for you – partly because they’re endearing and partly to give our male readers some good ideas.
Today, however, we’re going to do the opposite end: marriage proposal rejections. It is *very* important for the guy to know what his girl wants in a marriage proposal. And after perusing the marriage proposal rejections on some online video sites, I have found a very interesting conclusion about videos containing marriage proposal rejections.
They often center around two themes:
- Sporting Events. Guys… if you are trying to woo your woman off of her feet and get her to say, “Yes!,” a sporting event is not likely the way to do it. Unless she is fanatical about sports, choose something else. Focus on something *she* loves.
- Public Proposals. All of the rejection videos which I found online were proposals done publicly where the woman was put on the spot in front of friends and family or a large crowd (again, often at a sporting event). (Granted, more public proposals are likely to be shot on video than private, but still… the key is to…) Know your woman. If she’s more introverted or shy, a public proposal may not be the way in getting her to open up in saying yes to your proposal.
Though we cringe at unrequited love, especially in the ultimate form of a marriage proposal, it can also be instructional for guys in learning what *not* to do. If someone you know is getting close to proposing to his beloved, please share this post with him so that he can plan his proposal well and avoid such heartbreak.
