“Why am I unhappy? What am I not getting out of life?” Do you ever find yourself asking this question? (I do.) Am I not getting enough sleep? Should I get out of the house more often? Should I make new friends? Should I spend more time with the friends I have? Should I work more? Should I spend more time with Eric? Should I have more fun? Should I travel more? It is funny how I treat my lethargy and unhappiness like it is a mystery. I know what makes my life better, but must actually do something about it before I see results. ~smile~ When I feel down and discouraged, it is seldom because I … [Read more...]
Five Reasons Confidence is So Attractive in Relationships
There he is. He walks into the room and heads turn. He smiles. His chin is up. He looks his lunch companion in the eye and shakes his hand. He is working that suit and you do not know what he is selling, but you are ready to buy. Look at her. She knows she is a catch. When you look her in the eye, she does not look away. The Ghosts of Relationships Past (Fear Week, Part 2)
“Look at her. She is a dream come true. Sweet. Respectful. Gorgeous smile. Everyone who meets her likes her. She seems to be enjoying our time together. I think I want to court her seriously. I could honestly see myself spending the rest of my life with her. What is stopping me? All fingers and common sense points towards us making a go at this friendship, but something is nagging at me. Almost like unfinished business in my gut. What is making me hesitate? It is not the Lord. I have prayed about this relationship and feel confident in moving forward. My mentors and family are on board. What … [Read more...]
