Who doesn't love a gift? I'm sure there are some who don't care as much for the material items of life; yet, the vast majority of people enjoy receiving gifts. Many children love opening toys and playing with them. And remember when you were a kid? The excitement and wonder of what's in that package is almost more than you can stand! When you get a little older, the excitement and wonder is still there, but you may find that you have a little more control over the "waiting" that comes with Christmas and birthdays. Then, you begin to enter opposite sex relationships and before you know it, … [Read more...]
Document Your Love Story
Several months back, I blogged about my grandparents’ love story. They met through letters when my Granny was fourteen. My Granddaddy met my Granny's brother during World War II and after seeing a picture of my Granny, he was eager to get to know her better. By the end of his time overseas, he was writing her twelve page letters every day. It's good to vary your selection of … [Read more...]

Eric and I texted each other from the next room (just because we could) and, at one point, we were sitting in the same room… not talking… and each looking down at … [Read more...]

The saying is true that you never know what you have until it's gone. We all can probably think of someone we've lost, whether to death, quarrels, or life circumstances, that we would love to have back in our lives. Yet, how many of us think about that person we've lost and determine in our hearts to treat everyone else we love with extra special care? A friend of mine recently posted a plea on Facebook for us to tell … [Read more...]
