When I was a teenager, my mom bought me the book Finding the Love of Your Life: Ten Principles for Choosing the Right Marriage Partner by Neil Clark Warren. In the middle of the book, there is a list of fifty helpful marriage similarities. Some of the items on the list are no brainers, such as views about alcohol, smoking, and drugs. The Sugar Fast
A year ago today, Eric and I started a month-long sugar fast. In fact, it was not only sugar that we fasted – we also fasted anything with yeast, dairy, and coffee (among other items from which we were abstaining – it was part of the plan we were following). Wedding Planning Considerations
Happy New Year! Today, I am ringing in the new year with a cold. If there is a record for how many times someone can blow her nose in one day, I am certain I broke it today! Stopping New Year’s Resolutions
The day after Christmas, and the week following, usually greets me with mixed emotions. When Christmas is over and I leave my hometown, I feel heaviness on my chest and just wish the holidays could have lasted a little longer.
