Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be talking about turn offs in relationships. It’s important to talk about these because what seems like a turn off to one person may not seem like a turn off to someone else – and it would be a shame for someone who would otherwise be an incredible match to not take the opportunity to get to know you better based on something you’re not aware is a problem. For example, I tend to be overly apologetic to people. At first, it may not be a problem, but after I apologize for the seventh or eighth time, it becomes annoying. This is not something that happens … [Read more...]
What a Nightmare! (Did I love him?)
Do you have a tendency to dream vividly? For most of my life, my dreams have thoroughly entertained me; however, because my dreams are so lifelike, many of my dreams have left me feeling excessively happy or extremely uneasy. Once, I dreamed that I had a baby and then forgot him and the hospital and couldn’t figure out how to find him and get him back. It was a relief to wake up from that one. Playing Follow the Leader in a Corn Maze
My sweetheart’s birthday was a few weeks ago at the beginning of October. He had to go on a business trip and it ended on his big day! So after he recouped a little from travelling all day, we went to dinner at a French gastropub and then came home for gift opening time. I’m excited to report that he loved his tennis racket shaped electric bug zapper! ~smile~ Several years back, Eric and I went to a friend’s house to carve pumpkins. He had a blast and he’s mentioned it every year since. Unfortunately, I’ve dropped the ball on making that happen again until this year! So, the Saturday before … [Read more...]
And They Call it Puppy Love
Have you and your boyfriend/girlfriend discussed whether or not you would like to have pets once you are married? Of all the topics to cover before getting engaged, this isn’t the most important, but pets will affect your lives. So, we suggest discussing your views on pets and desires for pets before moving toward engagement. Obviously the first question you would need to pose to your boyfriend/girlfriend is, “Do you want any pets?” If you both answer in a resounding “NO!” then the conversation doesn’t need to continue ~smile~. However, if you both want pets – or only one of you wants pets, … [Read more...]
